Project Development
Once the detailed design is approved, G-Wiz Media begins the site/CD development.
Text (website or CD)
- Finalize all text content
- Proofread and copyedit as necessary
Media assets (website or CD)
- Based on the approved detailed design, develop all the site
graphics—banners, logos, navigation button graphics, icons, etc.
- Finalize and optimize all additional assets from the client:
Database (website)
- Design database architecture to match information architecture
- Populate database with sufficient data for ASP programming development and testing purposes
- Populate database with remaining available data once ASP programming complete and tested
Animation (website or CD)
- Plan and develop animation graphics
- Write code to ensure functionality of each component
- Unit test each function and revise as required
- Combine all components into final product
HTML (website)
- Establish page templates for main and subpages
- Combine all site elements into final design
- Build administrative functionality if required by the project scope
- Ensure that the final design works cross-platform and in multiple browsers
Programming (website or CD)
- Write code to ensure functionality of website or CD and administrative functions
- Unit test each function and make revisions as required
- Ensure that the final website design works cross-platform and in multiple browsers (Note:
Dewgraphix programs CDs for PCs only, not for Macintosh platform)
- Develop components for search engine indexing
- Combine all components into the final product
The Next Step - Testing
Each component of the site/CD is tested as an individual unit while being developed. Once all the
components are complete and assembled into the final product, test the overall functionality and usability of the final deliverable.
In the case of a dynamic website, testing is done on a local server. The completed project is not
uploaded and made "live" until final testing is complete.
